"2009 Annual Report"
CHALLENGE
Millipore is a life sciences company that was looking for a new and innovative way
to communicate with their investors. Rather than continue to print and publish
traditional Annual Reports, Millipore came to BLUE WAVE for help in translating
the "editorial" content of their reports into a digital video environment.
SOLUTION
BLUE WAVE collaborated closely with the client to create an information video
showcase with their CEO, Martin Madaus. We worked with Millipore on the content
and the script, and produced and directed a wide ranging on-camera interview with
the CEO. From there, we edited the footage into content specific "chapters"
and presented them online in a Millipore microsite, which we also designed and
produced. The shoot planning started with comprehensive location scouting, and
a significant lighting plan, which gave industrial and laboratory environments a
new look through the use of colored lighting effects. A camera dolly was used
to create smooth, subtle camera movement, while always highlighting the CEO.
BLUE WAVE has created this video annual report for Millipore for both their
2007 and 2008 investor campaigns.
