7-Eleven Event

CHALLENGE
In business since 1927, 7-Eleven is the undisputed leader in convenience retailing worldwide. The company wanted a unique way to motivate their executives and chose a fun, competitive game of wiffleball to do so. They also wanted to use the celebratory atmosphere to set the tone for a special awards night. The challenge was to recreate the energy and feeling of Fenway Park inside the Rhode Island Convention Center for the 7-Eleven Management meeting.

SOLUTION
For set elements, Blue Wave created a complete field that consisted of The Green Monster, score board, dugouts and batting area. To enhance the feeling and energy, food carts, music, sound effects and a working score board featuring each of the players flanked the field. The concept of creating a unique motivator and awards ceremony by mixing it with a wiffleball tournament was a hit and it worked great!! Looking around the room all could see a great sense of competitiveness, camaraderie, bonding, affection and laughs all around.
